Mr. X Movie Reviews

Don't jump out of your skin to find a reptilian like guy hitting on a pretty girl and wins her heart instead of experiencing a brief history of pain from the back of her hand. Yes! We are talking about Emraan Hashmi !!!Save your face-palm act for later as we have numerous such examples in bollywood and what's more disappointing is that they never give up. Such movies extend the credibility gap by portraying those girls as willfully offering to indulge in carnal acts with such atrocities. Majority would question that if it were some kind of legal Euthanasia? Even you may want to slit your own throat before watching such ugly duckling get lucky again, but believe me that is his USP (Even you might have secretly wished to switch roles with him).

Storyline: Raghu(Emraan Hashmi) a short stature cop from Mumbai police was assigned to protect the CM. He proved himself worthy of it by successfully terminating a terrorist who had hijacked a roadways bus, while leaving the tough job of diffusing the bomb to the girl. Thereafter, Raghu fell into the trap of his ambitious senior(Arunoday Singh) who sets him up to kill the CM. Hah! child's play! Raghu does the job in a jiffy. Now to ensure a clean job the senior(Arunoday Singh) had to wipe out the loose ends by killing E.H. restoring the law and order back. (You must have seen this part in -Phir bhi Dil hai Hindustani)

What I like about Mahesh Bhatt is how easily he slaps on the face of any logic one could ever come across. His new anti-radiation drug could make anybody disappear by its mere ingestion. Moreover such scientific breakthrough drug was being tested in a roadside company with practically no security at all. Yeah, burn those obsolete schoolbooks and join Bhatt classes on IIN instead; his daughter had already topped IIM's in "two states" and I am sure most of us have seen that flick too. The experimental drug was carelessly tossed in a beverage refrigerator of that company and was in easy access to any Tom, Dick or Harry. The Doctor easily transported it out of the company and was pretty confident while delivering it to Raghu, maybe she also wanted him to give up the ghost.

One can assess her level of confidence when she explained that the drug was not tested even on lab mice. But much to her dismay the lecher disappeared immediately after its consumption as a side effect to that drug. F***ing nemesis !!! He could only be seen under UV radiation now..Wow ! How ? Bravo Bhatts ...I wanna kick you butts . But on the other hand this discovery solves the riddle of invisible audiences who are occupying most of the seats for this Movie. Verdict: (Vanished) /10

Strange Blood Movie Reviews

It should be a telling that a scientist working on a cure for every disease imaginable with a slab or gurgling meat on his garage might not be the sanest person. Strange Blood is a movie of a mad scientist getting madder due to the effect of his experiment. It's agonizingly slow, and with heavy focus on just a couple of characters, the actors and script are nowhere near convincing enough to carry the movie, despite there's a good attempt on the male lead.

Henry (Robert Brettenaugh) wants to develop a cure for everything. He hires Gemma (Alexandra Bard) to help him in this endeavor. Needless to say things go terribly wrong. The movie is almost entirely shot with these two. Robert Brettenaugh tries his best, and at some points his transformation does look decent, but the shallow script and thin material force him to recycle the same theme with repetitive scenes too many times.

Alexandra Bard is not that particularly good. Her character is supposed to be a brilliant young woman with dark past, thought her portrayal of the nerdy girl is plastic at best. She uses plenty of profanity and it doesn't make the character edgy, just annoying. Furthermore, it's nigh implausible that experiment of plague proportion would remain a secret, at some points the character, especially Gemma must have realized something is wrong, but she is still a willing participant. This just contradicts the brilliant part of her character.

The movie utilizes a lot of nasty scenes, some vomits and other unpleasantly visual effect. This is not eerie in the thrilling sense, it's just like the science experiment that went wrong in high school and you're forced to clean it. Its simple premise just drags on with confusing switch between found footage and a lot needless mumblings. The use of scientific words is not impressive, it sounds rather pretentious to buffer the movie but talking to a gasping meat isn't exactly engaging.

Strange Blood has little thrill and the relationships between characters, among others, are very unconvincing. There's a lot of gross stuffs and scientific mumbo jumbo with barely any common sense.

Insurgent Movie Reviews

"Insurgent" is the 2nd Movie in the "Divergent" Series based on the popular trilogy of dystopian future novels. I have read the first 2 books – Loved the first One, Liked the story of the 2nd one, but felt it wasn't written as well. I thought the first movie was not great, but solid. I came into this movie hoping that it would improve upon both the first movie and the 2nd book. For the most part – I was not satisfied. This movie boosts a Great Cast – Including Shailene Woodly, Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet. They and some of the rest of the cast do have good moments, but the acting isn't always consistently good from scene to scene. Maybe it's them, maybe it's the Director, maybe it's both. But more that that, I was hoping the story would be constructed better that it was in the book. From what I can remember from reading it, they changed some things around, but it generally wasn't for the better. The last section of the movie is uplifting, but I just feel the movie had so much promise and for the most part doesn't deliver. Maybe it will improve upon second viewing for me, right now I just feel mostly dissatisfied with it. Like a number of recent film series based on novels, theLAST BOOK, "Allegiant" will be split into 2 movies, released in 2016 and 2017-I hope for better- 2 ½ out of 4 Stars, 7 out of 10 Stars.

San Andreas Movie Reviews

Due to the Nepal earthquake, the film's marketing has been changed to help people know what to do in the case of a deadly earthquake. The people behind the film are also going to donate a very large proceed to help Nepal and the earthquake victims.

San Andreas is the name of the tectonic fault line that runs through most of California. Seismologists have been predicting for years that California is due for a massive earthquake caused by this particular fault.

Universal Studios Florida remodeled their "Earthquake" ride to make it a parody of movie effects. The ride is called Disaster! A Major Motion Picture Ride... Starring You!(2008) In it, riders participate in a movie called "Mutha Nature". At the end, everyone is rescued by Dwayne Johnson.

Although they play a father and daughter, there is only a 13 year age difference between Dwayne Johnson and Alexandra Daddario.

Notable earthquakes that have occurred on the San Andreas Fault include:

1857 Fort Tejon earthquake: About 217 miles (349 km) were ruptured in central and southern California. Though it is known as the Fort Tejon earthquake, the epicenter is thought to have been located far to the north, just south of Parkfield. Two deaths were reported. The magnitude was about 7.9.

1906 San Francisco earthquake: About 267 miles (430 km) were ruptured in Northern California. The epicenter was near San Francisco. At least 3000 people died in the earthquake and subsequent fires. The magnitude was estimated to be 7.8.

1989 Loma Prieta earthquake: About 25 miles (40 km) were ruptured (although the rupture did not reach the surface) near Santa Cruz, California, causing 63 deaths and moderate damage in certain vulnerable locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Moment magnitude was about 6.9. The earthquake also postponed Game 3 of the 1989 World Series at Candlestick Park. This quake occurred on October 17, 1989, at approximately 5:04 P.M. PDT.

2004 Parkfield earthquake: On September 28, 2004, at 10:15 A.M. PDT, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the Parkfield area. It was felt across the state, including the San Francisco Bay Area.

Promotional material for the film depicts a large tsunami hitting the West Coast. In reality, an earthquake stemming from the San Andreas fault line would not produce a tsunami, as a tsunami can only occur if the focus, or hypocenter of the earthquake lies in a body of water. The San Andreas Fault only covers land. The only probable scenario for a tsunami hitting the West Coast is after an earthquake centered at the Cascadia fault line, off the coast of Oregon and Washington.

Third film featuring Dwayne Johnson and Carla Gugino (Faster & Race to Witch Mountain) Third third film featuring Matt Gerald and Dwayne Johnson (Faster & GI Joe 2) Second film featuring Carla Gugino and Matt Gerald (Faster) Second film to feature Dwayne Johnson Matt Gerald and Carla Gugino Second film to feature Dwayne Johnson and Janell Islas (Furious 7)

Marks the 2nd collaboration between director Brad Peyton and actor Dwayne Johnson. They previously worked together on Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012).

Third movie with Carla Gugino and Dwayne Johnson starring together after Race to Witch Mountain (2009) and Faster (2010).

Dwayne Johnson used to be a professional wrestler known as "The Rock". "The Rock" is also a nickname for Alcatraz prison, which sits on an island in San Francisco Bay. San Francisco is notorious for earthquakes, which is the natural disaster at the core of this movie.

The "Rock" is a nickname for Dwayne Johnson, for the movie location (Alcatraz), and also where the director is from. The island of Newfoundland (Canada) is known as the Rock.

Tomorrowland Movie Reviews

We all know that there're a lot of series about lawyers, so maybe you're asking yourself why you should what another. First of all, it's from the creator of Breaking Bad, therefore you can have a good idea about the quality of the show. Secondly, it is about how a good persona gets involved in a corrupt environment, as a result of bad luck!. Next, it might make you ask yourself what you would do in a dilemma and you would get surprise about how they react. You also might like to know that it's in Arizona, the main character is a good poor man and he won't have a good time. I love that series and I can't wait for the next season, so will you if you follow my recommendation.
