Storyline

In the near future, Indian born Deon Wilson (Dev Patel), is a high ranking executive in a Robotic Police Force company. When he comes up with an idea to make a self conscious robot named Chappie to protect better, his higher-ups disapprove it. Nonetheless, he makes it and when the company finds out, scraps the robot. When 2 small time criminals planning a $200 million heist find Chappie, they kidnap Deon and force him to program Chappie to assist them in their heist. When power-corrupted military general Vincent (Hugh Jackman) finds out, he rallies all forces to stop Chappie, at any cost that leads to an monumental showdown between Good and Evil.

his is not just an excellent and entertaining movie, i found many elements as real/istic and present, it is just touched some (maybe) future elements. Neil pulled the maximum out of this story and made it unforgettable as District 9 was.

How ever, my stomach turns upside down when i see the Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes score, these pathetic sites and their brainless people (called themselves "critics") live amongst us with their nonsense and empty headed, braintumored criticism - sure, this movie has no Beverly Hills and it's "amazing" crowd, no lemonade punch as story, no muscle cars and no muscle people, no worldwide threat to the USA and such. It has something else to say and this is the core of this amazing movie.

Afterall, Chappie has Everything that needs for a unique and must-see movie, sure, it is a target for all those (disgusting) critics who expect the everyday boring lemonade with everyday boring actors and actress.

Shame on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes, you guys are not more, than just rotten and brainless second level scribblers.

This movie is a tough nut to crack. Honestly I do not understand the artistic choice in cinematography AT ALL. This has to be the worst found footage film ever made.

When you look apart from that, why is it that American teens are made out to be hysterical hyper idiots even when the story line tries to pass them off as potential MIT students? The general behaviour and choices made takes a lot away from the plot or story line of the movie and simply makes it that much harder to accept the concept.

In the end this movie feels like a dumbed down version of Butterfly Effect, but maybe that's what this generation of teens need? Something hype and simple to soothe their unimaginative minds.

The movie feels like it was written by a ten year old girl hooked on drugs. Cardboard characters are so undeveloped that they should have stayed in authors womb for few more months/years. Bad acting and "I don't care about what is going on" attitude from the actors brings final nail to this movie coffin. There is nothing substantial in this movie, nothing that can teach us something new about ourselves or the world around us, which is quite odd for the science fiction movie. True the cinematography of the movie is first class, but it only saddens me that it is used on such bad material. In the end don't get fooled by this movie. Its only purpose is to take your money with bright lights and a false promise, but it will leave you with a mouth full of ash, wondering why you wasted your time.

Don't jump out of your skin to find a reptilian like guy hitting on a pretty girl and wins her heart instead of experiencing a brief history of pain from the back of her hand. Yes! We are talking about Emraan Hashmi !!!Save your face-palm act for later as we have numerous such examples in bollywood and what's more disappointing is that they never give up. Such movies extend the credibility gap by portraying those girls as willfully offering to indulge in carnal acts with such atrocities. Majority would question that if it were some kind of legal Euthanasia? Even you may want to slit your own throat before watching such ugly duckling get lucky again, but believe me that is his USP (Even you might have secretly wished to switch roles with him).

Storyline: Raghu(Emraan Hashmi) a short stature cop from Mumbai police was assigned to protect the CM. He proved himself worthy of it by successfully terminating a terrorist who had hijacked a roadways bus, while leaving the tough job of diffusing the bomb to the girl. Thereafter, Raghu fell into the trap of his ambitious senior(Arunoday Singh) who sets him up to kill the CM. Hah! child's play! Raghu does the job in a jiffy. Now to ensure a clean job the senior(Arunoday Singh) had to wipe out the loose ends by killing E.H. restoring the law and order back. (You must have seen this part in -Phir bhi Dil hai Hindustani)

What I like about Mahesh Bhatt is how easily he slaps on the face of any logic one could ever come across. His new anti-radiation drug could make anybody disappear by its mere ingestion. Moreover such scientific breakthrough drug was being tested in a roadside company with practically no security at all. Yeah, burn those obsolete schoolbooks and join Bhatt classes on IIN instead; his daughter had already topped IIM's in "two states" and I am sure most of us have seen that flick too. The experimental drug was carelessly tossed in a beverage refrigerator of that company and was in easy access to any Tom, Dick or Harry. The Doctor easily transported it out of the company and was pretty confident while delivering it to Raghu, maybe she also wanted him to give up the ghost.

One can assess her level of confidence when she explained that the drug was not tested even on lab mice. But much to her dismay the lecher disappeared immediately after its consumption as a side effect to that drug. F***ing nemesis !!! He could only be seen under UV radiation now..Wow ! How ? Bravo Bhatts ...I wanna kick you butts . But on the other hand this discovery solves the riddle of invisible audiences who are occupying most of the seats for this Movie. Verdict: (Vanished) /10

Roy Movie Reviews

Why did I watched Roy... mostly because of my trust on Ranbeer Kappor... But then I asked myself what is he doing in such a movie. Then I asked what is anybody doing in this movie... and then I asked what am I doing in the theatare. But in spite of repeated temptations to leave the theatare, I survived till the end, mainly because I hoped something will happen. but that's the trouble. Nothing at all happens in the movie. From start to end, in most of the scenes there is only one character on screen, generally smoking or drinking. the dialogues and monologues(there are a lot of monologues) are not natural. A lot of scenes, if not all, are unnecessary. there are hardly 4-5 characters in the movie (including both real and imaginary characters), out of which 2 are played by Jacklin. First Jacklin is the sri lankan beauty we know ( that came as a relief) other Jacklin is wearing some kind of makeup which is making her look like a vampire. Songs are good... but their placement is so abrupt in the two and a half hour movie , and you are so bored with the movie that you can hardly enjoy them. Locations are good, but monotonous dark and gloomy picturization spoils them too. I can understand that the director did not wanted to make a Bollywood masala movie, but trust me, this movie is not above Masala, This is way below Masala. Conclusion: Don't watch this movie even if you are paid for it.

Jean-Claude Van Damme stars in this martial arts action flick; about a man trying to get back his stolen kidney, in order to save his dying niece. It was directed by Ernie Barbarash (who also directed Van Damme in the B-action films '6 BULLETS' and 'ASSASSINATION GAMES') and it was written by Joshua James. The movie costars Darren Shahlavi (another martial arts B-action film star), John Ralston, Charlotte Peters and Akie Aleong. It does have some decent fight scenes but it tries to be a little too emotional, and overly dramatic, as well (which it doesn't quite have the resources for).

Van Damme plays Deacon; a man who just arrived in China, in order to donate a kidney to his deathly ill niece (Adele Baughan). He rescues a woman (Peters) from her attacker (Shahlavi), nearby the hotel he's staying at. She asks to buy him a drink, as thanks, and he wakes up the next morning with a kidney missing. With the help of his extremely religious brother (Ralston), the father of the dying little girl, Deacon decides to track down the criminals that robbed him, and get his kidney back. It helps that Deacon is an expert martial artist and former black-ops agent, of course. 

I used to be a huge Van Damme fan (he was my favorite actor, briefly, as a kid) and I still enjoy watching his movies. He doesn't deliver a very good performance here though, because it seems like he really didn't want to be there (he can be a pretty good actor, when he's passionate about a role). Shahlavi, Ralston, Aleong, and a few others, do give decent performances though (on the other hand). The fight scenes are entertaining as well; and there's a decent story hidden in there too. The melodrama, and cheesy production values, do make the film a little hard to bear though, at times. It's not one of the best Van Damme films, but it's not one of his worst either.

Strange Blood Movie Reviews

It should be a telling that a scientist working on a cure for every disease imaginable with a slab or gurgling meat on his garage might not be the sanest person. Strange Blood is a movie of a mad scientist getting madder due to the effect of his experiment. It's agonizingly slow, and with heavy focus on just a couple of characters, the actors and script are nowhere near convincing enough to carry the movie, despite there's a good attempt on the male lead.

Henry (Robert Brettenaugh) wants to develop a cure for everything. He hires Gemma (Alexandra Bard) to help him in this endeavor. Needless to say things go terribly wrong. The movie is almost entirely shot with these two. Robert Brettenaugh tries his best, and at some points his transformation does look decent, but the shallow script and thin material force him to recycle the same theme with repetitive scenes too many times.

Alexandra Bard is not that particularly good. Her character is supposed to be a brilliant young woman with dark past, thought her portrayal of the nerdy girl is plastic at best. She uses plenty of profanity and it doesn't make the character edgy, just annoying. Furthermore, it's nigh implausible that experiment of plague proportion would remain a secret, at some points the character, especially Gemma must have realized something is wrong, but she is still a willing participant. This just contradicts the brilliant part of her character.

The movie utilizes a lot of nasty scenes, some vomits and other unpleasantly visual effect. This is not eerie in the thrilling sense, it's just like the science experiment that went wrong in high school and you're forced to clean it. Its simple premise just drags on with confusing switch between found footage and a lot needless mumblings. The use of scientific words is not impressive, it sounds rather pretentious to buffer the movie but talking to a gasping meat isn't exactly engaging.

Strange Blood has little thrill and the relationships between characters, among others, are very unconvincing. There's a lot of gross stuffs and scientific mumbo jumbo with barely any common sense.
